Job Description

Location: Based Anand (Focus Districts)- Anand, Panchamahal, Dahod, Bharuch, Vapi, Narmada, Rajkot, Junagadh, Jamanagar, Ahmedabad, Kutch, Banskantha, Sabarkantha & Gandhingar.

Non Focus Districts: All remaining districts of Gujarat.

Reports to: Head of Tribhuvandas Foundation and NI State Program Officer- Adolescent Nutrition .

Salary : INR 8,40,000.00 PA plus other allowances

Project coordinator will be on contractual role with Tribhuvandas Foundation and will be responsible for coordinating mainly with the different departments i.e. Health, Education, ICDS and Tribal Department and ensure effective implementation of Adolescent Nutrition in the state, supervision of project team activities (Divisional Coordinators), and mentoring of service providers.

Project Management and Supportive Supervision
• Provide techno-managerial support to divisional coordinators for quality implementation of Adolescent Nutrition interventions including yearly and monthly planning and monitor all assigned targets to the team.
• Facilitated capacity of districts and block officials of Health, ICDS, Schools & Tribal’s by divisional coordinator & effective implementation of IFS supplies in school & non school going adolescent girls and boys.
• Support to develop a mechanism to maintain stock of IFA at all service delivery points in all focus districts.
• Support Divisional Coordinators & districts to improve the quality of adolescent nutrition care practice.
• Supports DCs in WIFA through schools, establishing nutri smart schools and operationlising adolescent Health and Wellness Days (AWHDs)
• Facilitate and support Divisional coordinators and districts to do regular stock assessment and support them in timely replenishment of IFA/ logistics, and equipment
• Identify bottlenecks in effective functioning of the program through analysis and triangulation of data from regular field visits (facility and community) generated from the checklists along with Government available data sources and advocate necessary corrective steps to improve/ strengthen the program.
• Help DCs to exploring the opportunities of development of Nutri garden and support in establishing nutri garden at identified places
• Support DCs in operationialize AHWDs in RKSK districts and facilitate all activities of AHWD.
• Supportive supervision of VHND to observe knowledge and practices related to WIFAS and monitor services related to adolescent nutrition program like quality of adolescent services, counselling sessions, Iron enhancer and inhibitors, Diet diversity and Support divisional coordinators to advocate proper documentation.
• Help DCs to identify case studies and document it for publishing through social Medias, websites and printing.
• To make weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and deliverable and timely submission to NI
• Prepare all deliverables and submit to NI timely
Capacity Building
• Support DC in building capacity of supervisors for mentoring and monitoring of quality adolescent nutrition services during facility and community visits.
• Support DCs to facilitate & Coordinate district level training on adolescent nutrition interventions during supportive supervision field visit.
• Capacitate DCs for analyzing data, HMIS, and related program data

Behavior Change Interventions (BCI)

• Create awareness of available services for adolescent services and promote family participatory approach, in behaviour change interventions
• Identify influencer groups/ peer groups in community and build their capacities to carry out promotion of messages for adoption of appropriate adolescent nutrition practices
• Regular monitoring and follow up with project teams and service providers on existing government BCI material use.
• Support DC to improve quality, frequency and promote uniformity of counselling by the frontline workers
• Identify messages to be included in the virtual platform and support in rolling out the platform with the concerned department for reaching caregivers.

Strengthening of monitoring and Review mechanism
• Sharing monitoring findings with district officials and support DCs in divisional and district review meetings by Health and ICDS departments.
• Support DCs for facilitating in organizing review meeting at district level chaired by DM
• Ensure establishment of concurrent program monitoring system with strengthening supportive supervision at all levels and analysis of project reports Develop and maintain a quality assurance mechanism in reporting by data validation/ triangulation exercise for smooth running of program.
• Generate compiled quarterly reports based on supportive supervision and share it with NI state office.
• Regular sharing of progress reports with NI, and Director/Program Manager of implementing partner.
• Identify and document the best practices at the field to state NI office regularly.
• Trip reports for all visits.

Procurement and supply Chain
• Regular stock assessment of IFA, logistics and consumables related to the adolescent nutrition program during supportive supervision visits.
• Compiled the report of stock assessment quarterly and share it with NI state office
• Support DCs in for timely replenishment of IFA, logistics and consumables to avoid stock outs at there respective districts.
• Support DCs in monitoring and reporting using IFA Inventory MIS (if available).
• Capacity building of DCs, district and block level pharmacist on stock calculation as per delivery load.

Other Functions
Any Other work/task given by NGO head & State Program Officer - NI.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Five Divisional Coordinators
Language Skills :Fluency in official language of the state (Gujarati) and English (Reading, Writing & Oratory Skills) is a prerequisite. Knowledge of other languages spoken in India would be an asset.

Travel Requirements : Frequent travel to Adolescent Nutrition project (Focus & Non Focus) districts as per NI COVID-19 guidelines.
Other Specific Skill Requirements:

- A result-oriented approach and proven ability to manage track and coordinate complex multi-partner large-scale programs.
- Ability to network and negotiate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve the objectives of the program. The position will particularly require a strong ability to engage and negotiate with various government officials at District and Divisional levels.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently and generate innovation.
- Strong communications skills (oral and written). Ability to effectively represent the program in various fora.
- Good report writing skills, computer skills, including MS Office program.
- Ability to work under pressure
