Established in 2006, Society for Labour and Development (SLD) strives to uphold the rights of workers (labour), extending unconditional support to them. The opening up of the Indian economy witnessed a major boost to manufacturing activities in the country that resulted in the establishment and the mushrooming of numerous manufacturing units that are now, an intricate part of the global supply chain fabric. As a result, this has catalysed the large-scale migration of workers from rural India to centres of these industries, satiating the need for a large workforce. With a pan India presence through a strong partner network and with our own footprint in Delhi-NCR, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, SLD steps in with robust advocacy and capacity building interventions, that bring about sensitisation and thereby awareness amongst workers about their rights. Scope of work
 
The position will entail complete responsibility of overseeing the life cycle of employees; from hiring to separation, along with the management of complete HR operations. Confidentiality will be key and the candidate will need to adhere to this in the strictest form. Candidate should possess people management skills and the ability to handle a team. Overall knowledge of office administration is also required. 
 
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Talent acquisition. Sourcing of candidates using various tools, scheduling interviews, entire onboarding process including inducting new employees, etc.
  • Ensuring conducive employee relations;
  • Maintain employee dossiers
  • Attendance management
  • Timely KPIs and performance appraisals of employees
  • Employee leave records
  • Employee engagement
  • Grievance addressal
  • Payroll processes and maintenance
  • Complete and up to date MIS maintenance
  • Ability to formulate HR policies along with management and thereafter ensure adherence.
  • Ensure statutory compliances. Example- PF, ESIC, Employee Health Insurance, among others.
  • Should be able to represent the organization’s voice amongst all stakeholders- Board, Employees, Target Audiences, Third Parties, Influencers, etc.
  • Support/coordinate project related activities as and when required
  • Overall office administration management
  • Handle miscellaneous tasks assigned
Qualification and Experiences
  • Graduate or a Post-graduate degree in Social Science, Human Resource Management, or any other similar field.
  • Experience of 2-4 years in Human resource position in Development sector.
  • Excellent teamwork/leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate in small teams and with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • High level of proficiency in English and Hindi.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
  • Should have strong focus on quality and timely delivery of work.
  • Well organized and efficient, with the capacity to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency MS office
Type of Appointment
 
Contractual appointment with fixed term of 12 months. Renewal thereafter on basis of performance and requirements of project/ SLD.
 
Remuneration: As per industry standards and on experience and qualification.
