THE SHELTER PROGETTO INDIA "The Shelter-Progetto India” is a Charitable Trust which runs a Child Care Institute (CCI) in Gurugram and is registered under Juvenile Justice (Care and protection of Children), Act, 2015. The Shelter Progetto as a Child Care Institute (CCI) provides both long- and short-term services to children who have experienced abuse, neglect, violence, abandonment, and/or are in need of care and protection.

We are looking for a social worker for the position of Home In charge ( female) who wants to implement her job experience. We are looking for a VERY COMMITTED person who wants to dedicate herself to the well-being of the children.
Education Qualification: Masters degree in Social Work or masters degree in similar field.

Excellent English and Hindi (written and spoken) are required.
Duties have been defined accordingly with the actual rules and the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act:

• The Home In charge will be in charge of the overall well-being, (emotional and physical health, educational need) of the children.
• The Home In charge is responsible for ensuring that all Child Welfare Committee (CWC) and District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) requirements are met.
• Maintenance of minimum standards of care: supervision and management of hygienic conditions of the institution, inspection of premises
• Inspection and storage of food and water; monitoring of security measures
• Planning and management of education activities with children, monitoring of discipline and well-being, planning of recreational activities (events, excursions, pic-nic; support to children in their homework; guidance and counselling
• Supervision of medical conditions of children
• Supervision and implementation of office and administrative work: management of documentation required by the Juvenile Law and writing of reports; overseeing of compulsory registers; preparation of budget and financial control; organization of Committee meetings (children’s Committee, management Committee)
• Management of the daily routine
• Management of emergencies
• Management and improvement of the relationships network (other institutions, public Authorities, District Child Protection Unit, volunteers, counsellors, experts)

• Monday to Saturday
