Lead on integration of the agreed priorities into DPRP plans.
--Liaison with stakeholders and beneficiaries.
--Support the development of work plans to ensure timely implementation of field activities.
--Support the logistics of all field-activity related operations, such as transportation and accommodation.
--Ensuring environmental and Climate Change aspects
--Support advocacy efforts in disaster mitigation and preparedness.
--Support the municipalities, partners and other key stakeholders to leverage the grants for DP and mitigation
--Documenting evidence from the field, and contributing to cost-benefit analysis for the nature[1]based solutions
--Representing RF relevant fora and towards major stakeholders.
Qualification
Post- Graduation in Social Science/ Rural development / Management / Mass communication with Diploma or Post Graduate in Disaster Management
--Strong proven experience in disaster preparedness, mitigation and planning on a local government level with focus on nature-based solutions;
--Experience with engagement with private sector for disaster preparedness;
--Strong understanding of the Disaster Risk Management, including existing financial governmental schemes;
--Strong organisational and networking skills;
--Willingness to work in the field with frequent travel and strong interest in issues relating to at-risk landslide communities;
--At least 5 years of demonstrated work experience
