GuruJal is an integrated water management initiative that addresses water scarcity,groundwater depletion, flooding and stagnation in the Gurugram District of Haryana. Weaim to collaborate with the different stakeholders of the district like corporates, civilsociety, and research organizations to address the issue using the systems thinkingapproach.Our Focus:The focus is to work on improving the compliance of schemes and policies supportingwater conservation, following up on the better enforcement of rules and regulations tomitigate water exploitation, extensive campaigning to sensitize people, to come up withbetter design solutions for the current standing issues and work towards making abetter policy framework for water management.Keeping the gaps and urgency of the issue in mind, a composite water managementapproach and hence the project GuruJal was envisioned with the objective of“addressing the problems of groundwater depletion, water scarcity, flooding i.e. watermismanagement in Gurugram District of Haryana” by avoiding the duplicity in efforts,enabling better collaboration and having holistic system’s thinking approach.Profile: Planning AssistantAssociation: Program Management Unit, GuruJal (1-year contract with the opportunityto renew on the basis of mutual consent and will)No. of Position: 1Qualification: Having a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's Degreein (Environmental Engineering / Urban / Environmental / Regional Planning / WaterResource Engineering)Remuneration: INR 52,500.00 Per MonthEligibility Criteria:? Having a Bachelor's / Master’s Degree with not less than 70% marks? Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, MS Office and Google Suite? Proficiency in preparing reports and delivering presentations to the stakeholdersand working with local communities.? Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.? Excellent analytical and strategic skills.? A minimum of 2 - 3 years of work experience with a master's and 4 - 5 years ofwork experience with a bachelor’s degree.? Reading, writing and speaking knowledge of Hindi and English languagesRoles & Responsibilities:? To handle and provide support during the construction of pond developmentprojects, Rainwater Harvesting projects, development of Biodiversity Parks orany other project related to water or wastewater resource management.? To prepare and develop technical reports, proposals, Detailed Project Reports,detailed bill of quantities and detailed specification list? To conduct site surveys with the team and prepare relevant maps using ArcGISand document all the findings of site assessment? To prepare required drawings using AutoCAD? Conducting Research and developing plans to preserve our ecosystem? Planning and overseeing fieldwork and coordinating with the on-field team.? Remuneration: INR 52,500.00 Per Month
