Background

Know Me India Trust (KMIT) and Shahi Export Pvt. Ltd had jointly initiated a Skill training – Sewing Machine Operator (SMO) for women from poor social and economic backgrounds to fight against human trafficking, modern slavery, and poverty by empowering girls and women to be economically independent, leading a life of freedom and dignity. After learning a technical skill they will get job placement at Shahi factories, Bangalore. The technical skill-training center is called the ``Swabhimaan” project. It is situated at Abhayapur, Orient Colliery, Brajrajnagar district, Jharsuguda, Odisha.

Key Responsibilities:

• This position would need to coordinate with the Center Coordinator Cum Technical Trainer for the smooth implementation of project activities and meeting all project deadlines while ensuring the project management standards.
• To support the program team in the selection and recruitment of the right candidates and their placements, along with other day-to-day project activities.
• To build rapport with project stakeholders and ensure their engagement in all stages of project implementation.
• Effectively communicating across all levels about project benefits, progress, and outcomes.
• To anticipate project risks and issues, taking proper actions to resolve them and informing the stakeholders of the challenges/risks in a timely manner whenever required.
• Supporting the Center Coordinator in preparing and maintenance of project reports (project activity, issues, risks, and exception reports) and other relevant records such as trainee’s information, correspondence received and sent, record keeping of budgets, project plan, stock register, payment records, and travel reimbursements.
• Supporting in collecting document human-interest stories, photographs of trainees’ accomplishments, success stories, and completion plans.
• Assisting in creating quarterly/annual reports and presentations for the program team and other beneficiaries as and when required.

Skills, Education, and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Strong team player with good interpersonal and coordination skills.
• Ability to work and communicate with a diverse group of people of different cultural backgrounds.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc).
• Should be open to travel (if required).

Compensation: Salary Range- Rs. 1,20,000/- per annum to Rs. 1,80,000/- per annum. It shall be based on relevant experience and qualifications.
