Position Title: State Head -Jharkhand

No of Positions: 1

Reporting Line: Assistant Director Program

Location: Saraikela (Jharkhand ) for initial one year and then Ranchi, Jharkhand

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. The State Head will be responsible for managing programs in Jharkhand
2. Prepare work plan, budget forecast and management of budget allocation as per the project activities and guidelines
3. Manage project teams in alignment with projects’ objectives. Monitor and periodically assess the project performance and staff performance.
4. Build and manage partnerships with state government and different stakeholders/institutions/organizations in Jharkhand
5. Develop strategy for expansion in Jharkhand
6. Writing project proposals
7. Representing the organization at events etc as per the need
8. Conduct training sessions with Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and facilitate relevant linkages
9. Support FPOs in value addition, processing packaging , branding, marketing to various retail stores, linkage with local market
10. Leverage existing networks, and those facilitated through partners to create the required market channels and linkages to enable a robust business model.
11. Regularly report on the improvements and impact of interventions in terms of income of FPO
12. Any other task assigned time to time

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:

Qualifications:

• Master’s in Social Science/Agriculture/Rural Management/ Agribusiness management

Skills and Experience:

• At least 7-8 years of experience in project management and implementation
• Experience of marketing and sales of agri commodities
• Experience of handling team
• Experience of report writing and project proposal
• Experience of working on livelihood and income generation projects
• Willingness to travel
• Extensively worked in FPO ecosystem
• Experience of working with Agri business company will be added advantage
• Experience of value chain, branding, packaging, licensing and experience of working with modern retail stores
• Excellent analytical, verbal and written communications skills; • Strong sense of professional commitment and maturity.
