Action for Food Production (AFPRO) is a socio-technical not for Profit Organization working for the development of rural poor through effective natural resource management solutions. It is an “Organization of National Importance” duly notified by Government of India.

Mission Statement: AFPRO dedicates itself for alleviating rural poverty, through partnerships, networking and collaborations with like-minded Institutions, with a focus on enabling the marginalized and weaker sections of the Society.

Our Domain Areas: Agriculture, Water, Sanitation, Watershed Management, Livelihood Diversification, and Climate Change.

AFPRO having its Head Office at New Delhi requires Field Trainer for its project in Kerala and Andhra Pradesh under Regional Office, Hyderabad.

Qualification: Graduate with relevant experience in Rural Development Project.

Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience of working with Community in participatory planning, capacity development of community, Promotion of Livelihood based activities.

Compensation: Rs.15,000/-to Rs.18,000/- per month depending on educational qualification, experience and performance in the interview.

The above positions may require extensive travel to project locations.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct baseline assessment, need assessment and Rapid Rural Appraisal with Project Coordinators as and when needed.
• Mobilize the community and organize meetings with community
• Conduct trainings on health, education, Decent work , Women empowerment, etc as per the training module developed.
• Conduct planned activities at village level
• Identify beneficiary in coordination with Village Development Committee and other village. level groups
• Organize trainings and awareness events at local level
• Follow plans and processes given by the District Manager and Project coordinator
• Assist other project staff during field works.
• Any other responsibility assigned by the District Manager/Regional Manager

Additional skills:

• The applicant must be mature with good public relations, team building, resilient and motivated.
• Good communication and presentation skills in local language.
• Liaison with, NGOs, community organizations and Resources Organizations – build and strengthen relationships.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Should be a good team player with multi-tasking ability.

The above position is on contractual basis and renewable based on the individual performance and organizational requirements.
