About Organization:

Pahal is a well-established not-for-profit organization formed in the year 2008, by a group of young professionals who gave up their corporate careers to bring a meaningful difference to the young minds of our society. As we all know, today’s youth are the future of our country and empowering them is a step towards nation building and keeping this in mind we as a team, did a lot of study and research and came up with a well-planned comprehensive model for the youth in the rural areas.

The experienced core team of Pahal have been working in the skill training sector from a long time; but somewhere there was a feeling that skilling alone would not work to transform the young minds, instead something new had to be done to train and empower these youngsters, so that they move on the right path with a positive attitude. We feel that there is a huge gap in the education system which lacks imparting life skills because of which, the youth are not able to sustain in the paths chosen by them.

There are more than 370 million youth in India which makes India, the world’s youngest country. This group of population is crucial for our growth and prosperity as a country. However less than 10% youth have employability skills and 18% are suffering from depression and mental health problems. We, as a team, felt that we should be working on the inner skills by giving the right values and right attitude to the young minds and fill in this gap.

Pahal as an organization, is working towards imparting life skills/ employability skills to the youth along with personal counselling and continuous mentoring for a sustainable career and productive life.

We strongly believe in the blending of hard skills along with the heart skills.

Job Title: Life Skill Trainer

No. of Post: 1

Language Known: Gujarati, Hindi, English

Location: Karajan (Vadodara)

Conducting life skills sessions on 4 days a week at various projects/ locations. There should be an average of 15 sessions in a month and 180 sessions for the year wef 1st November 2022.

·Ensure and collect all student’s projects and review them for appropriate feedback.

·Take regular feedback from the students post every session, analyses the same and do come out with observations and findings from the same on a monthly basis. (Impact Analysis of sessions)

·Based on experience, learnings and feedback, amending the content design from time to time.

·For any session/ workshop beyond the regular life skills of EEP, conducted under any project, ensure documentation of the framework and content of the whole session. (Target group, Project, Objective of the session/ workshop, content framework, topics covered, dates, number of participants, learnings, Outcome achieved)

·Train and Support local identified facilitators for conducting life skill sessions in YTP.

·Participate with team in all common events/ activities and celebrations.

· Monthly report separates for each project (sessions, students’ project work, feedback and suggestions) to be sent to respective Project Coordinators.

Salary: 25k to 30k (as per experience)

Qualification: Graduation/ Master or any equivalent in social development sector

Experience: 2-3 year in development sector
