Position Title: Media Fellows

Duration of Fellowship: 12 months

Location: Districts in Jharkhand

Organisation Background: PRADAN is a premier not for profit organization that works with vulnerable communities on institution building, livelihood opportunities, and enhancing quality of life towards socio-economic and political empowerment. Established in 1983, PRADAN along with its partners, works with 2.6 million women spread across seven states, as on 31st March 2023. By 2030, we aspire to impact 50 million lives. PRADAN has close to 700 staff that work in 60 field teams and 11 integrating offices besides the head office at Delhi.

Our work: PRADAN’s work is strategized around 13 out of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, with a special focus on No Poverty and Zero Hunger. We are facilitating transformative changes in lives of socio-economically vulnerable communities by strengthening their participation in and processes of local self-governance, increasing awareness and ensuring access to welfare schemes, conservation and sustainable use of available natural resources, bringing in diversity in cropping and dietary practices, and overall behavioral changes leading to adoption of healthier practices.

Scope of Work: A lot of learning happens during the regular course of our work. There is a need to document the stories of positive changes and curate them for dissemination to a wider range of audiences. Hence, we are looking for two media fellows to document these stories from our field locations and package them in consultation with the central communications team for mass scale publication.

Minimum qualification required is Bachelors in Mass communication, freshers and women candidates will be given priority.

Remuneration will be based on the number of stories captured.
