Job Title Entrepreneurship Expert

Location : Jhajjar

Reporting to : Program Leader, HPPI

Coordination with: Project Leader & Project team

 

Background:

Improved income, business sustainability, and access to market and services for 350 women entrepreneurs from the first phase of the project.

1. 350 women will enhance their income advance business support

2. Doubling the income through market linkages and access to finances for growth.

3. 100% of women entrepreneurs start using digital method for book keeping

4. Linkages to the business insurance to at least 10 percent of the women entrepreneurs

5. Linkage to the government rural mart/online platform for procurement and sale of the project

6. Advance training for product quality enhancement and diversification to women entrepreneurs

7. Formation of Rural chamber of commerce of Women in all the project villages.

Role Purpose: The Entrepreneurship Expert is responsible for achieving targets for doubling up of the profits of 350 enterprises of HPPI’s Swavalambi Udyogini Project in 12 villages of Jhajjar. The role focusses on identification of new business opportunities/income generating activities, assessing market viability, capital requirements, and pre-feasibility and provide guidance to existing women entrepreneurs. The role also helps provide support in village enterprise assessment in terms of linkages with government schemes, marketing etc. mentoring and coaching of existing entrepreneurs to do double their income.

 

The proposed project aims to bring scale and sustainability in the enterprises started by women in the first phase through advance business support, market linkages (backward and forward) and product quality enhancement and diversification. The focus of the second phase of the project will be on: Sustainability, Scale-up, Gross Income enhancement, product quality improvement, and market linkages.

Job Description- Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Identification of business upscaling opportunity for existing women entrepreneurs in the project area

2. Conducting skill assessments, market assessment, provide & facilitate business-upscaling opportunity to the existing women entrepreneurs.

3. Stakeholder interactions for linking with relevant government schemes, skill service providers, financial institutions for scaling up nano and micro entrepreneurial projects for long term sustainability

4. Explore options for development of community owned and managed common facility centers

5. Provide market linkages (forward and backward) and facilitate capital access support for existing women enterprises

6. Provide Business Development support services to women entrepreneurs for stability and growth of their businesses

Deliverables goals :

Sr. No Activities

1 Meeting with all existing entrepreneurs to get area reality and get idea from them to expend their business

2 Business Opportunity Identification: Collect basic information on local resource base, e.g. Agriculture, Dairy, conduct opportunity identification exercise with stakeholders, banks, financial institutes etc.

3 Liaison with different skill providing institutions to linkage with women to get skill for starting a business

4 Visit at different marketplaces to find out the new idea for the business upscaling

5 Organize exposure visit of women at different places to get new ideas for scaling up the existing businesses

6 Women linkages with financial institution to get loan for scale up business (together with staff)

7 Women linkage with market to get profitable price for raw material or sell their products

8 Regular mentoring support to entrepreneurs to upscale their businesses
