 Data Analyst, National level organization, New Delhi, India

A national level not for profit organization, has an urgent full-time consulting opportunity for a data analyst. The position calls for bright youngsters with quantitative orientation and experience in using one or more data analysis software’s such as Excel, SPSS, SATA, R, SQL. Proficiency in developing data collection tools using applications (CSPro, ODK/KOBO). Some experience of using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) will be an advantage. The position calls for managing large data sets - upwards of 20,000 data points – from the stage of receiving primary data from multiple informants including survey data, MIS data from partner organisations, field reports etc., data cleaning, working with the senior team on developing data analysis framework, conducting data analysis and rendering into user-friendly presentations for diverse audiences including internal team, donors, government, and other stakeholders.

The position is an exciting opportunity for a data analyst with 1 to 3 years’ experience to apply data science practices in a large public health program-research environment and gain invaluable experience across the spectrum from raw data to analysis, insights, and presentation.

The responsibilities will span:

Data Management

• Contribute to the development/ modification of questionnaires for data collection application.

• Coordinate timely collection, collation, compilation, and dissemination of data pertaining to project.

• Support project field team in data management.

Data Quality Management

• Ensure data quality by regular data checks, field visits and by establishing quality assurance systems.

• Maintain the databases and conduct routine maintenance as needed to ensure data integrity.

• Review data for inconsistencies or anomalies that could skew analytical results.

• Guide 3rd party agencies on processes to ensure high data quality at all steps.

Data Analysis cum Visualization

• Identify and interpret patterns and trends, assess data quality and eliminate irrelevant data.

• Develop relevant dashboards for data visualization of project activities and project achievement data.

• Analyse data to generate outcome documents and briefs necessary to track and present results against the performance indicators and milestones.

• Coordinate with 3rd party agencies for developing reports for internal and external use.

Other

• Make recommendations for software, hardware and data storage upgrades.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

The salary offered to the selected candidate would be based on the previously drawn salary of the candidate. As such the position has an overall cap of compensation in range of INR 4.5 lacs per annum.
