About Foundation for Child Protection (FFCP):

We are a Pune based NGO, that has been working on the issue of Sexual Abuse of Children since the year 2000. We stand apart as the only initiative in Pune whose entire focus is on the critical issue of sexual abuse of children. We have a multidisciplinary approach involving prevention, case work, counselling, police support, legal aid, healing Services and community intervention. We work not only with children, but also with other stakeholders, such as parents, teachers, police, and other state agencies. Over the past few years, we have sensitized more than 68,333 children & adults and dealt with 715 POCSO cases of abuse through our counselling, legal and healing programs. Position Purpose:

Foundation For Child Protection is looking for a Female Senior Consultant Counsellor to play a crucial role in providing home visit based comprehensive and effective support to the CSA survivors. The Senior Counsellor will also offer support & mentor the existing case workers and lay counsellors and will contribute to the overall competency of the organization. We are looking for a person who has clinical expertise, is empathetic, sensitive and non-judgmental in her attitude and a deep commitment to promoting the well-being of CSA survivors and those who assist them.

Role & Responsibilities:

Individual Case Counselling:

Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions with CSA survivors to do the assessments and address their emotional and psychological needs.

Develop personalized healing plans to support survivors on their path to healing.

To conduct parent counselling sessions.

To conduct joint sessions between parents & Children to build a strong support structure for the child.

Counselling assistance at CWC for walk-in cases related, twice a week.

Crisis Intervention:

Be available for immediate crisis intervention and support to the child experiencing severe emotional distress or trauma. (Visiting Police station/ hospital with special reference to record the child’s statement.)

Group Therapy:

Creating a support group of the existing CSA survivors at FFCP- Muskaan.

Organize and facilitate support group sessions on a monthly basis for CSA survivors to promote healing through shared experiences and mutual support.

Training and Education:

Outreach and conducting trainings sessions on CSA & POCSO for school counsellors.

Supervision & Consultation:

Provide regular supervision and consultation to lay counsellors and case workers, helping them navigate complex cases and emotional challenges.

Handholding support to lay counsellors and case workers in education and implementation of effective counselling techniques on a case-to-case basis.

Review and provide feedback on the work of lay counsellors and case workers, ensuring that they follow the best practices of counselling.

Home Visit:

Conducting home visit-based counselling sessions.

Networking & Collaboration:

Collaborate with other professionals, such as psychologists, psychiatrists and lawyers to develop integrated treatment plans when necessary.

Networking with organizations related to the child’s emotional rehabilitation.

Collaborate with other professionals, such as crisis hotlines or emergency services, when necessary. (With reference to suicide prevention)

Reporting & Documentation:

Preparing Monthly action plan.

Maintaining excel sheet and qualitative report related to the counselling of CSA survivors at FFCP-Muskaan & CWC (Child Welfare Committee)

Preparing case studies.

Mentoring Lay counsellors in writing qualitative report for CSA cases.

Qualifications and Educational Requirement

Masters in Psychology/Clinical Psychology from a reputed institution who preferably has at least 5+ years of practical experience in the field.

Social work course in addition to the counselling/psychology will be preferred.

Experience of working with CSA Survivors will be preferred.

Knowledge of POCSO and IPC.

Good communication skills in Marathi, Hindi and English (Speaking, Reading & Writing)

Working Hours:

Mon- Fri, 10 am -5.30 pm. (Ability to commit additional time on any day including weekends if the case demands.) Alternate Saturdays working.

Compensation:

INR 45,000/- Per Month (Less 10% TDS)
