It is an initiative of group of persons with dedication, experience, competency and expertise in social change & development process,

It is a registered not -for-profit organization, registered under the society Act, in West Bengal in 2003.

We work through community based organization and empowerment approach.

The SERVE presently covers 60 villages in 4 districts of West Bengal, Burdwan, Bankura, Malda and Midnapore. The focused groups are predominantly from the scheduled cast and Schedule tribe community.

Vision: SERVE aspired for the community that’s care for the children, that is adequately educated, informed, skilled and empowered with gender equity, equitable and sustainable sharing of nature's gift, ensuring life with quality and dignity.

Mission: The SERVE is committed to secure better future for the deprived children ,promoting enabled improved learning environment and ensuring child friendly education system. Preparing, equipping and empowering the rural community & slum dwellers to lead and sustain the process ,with skill, knowledge ,information and negotiating ability , irrespective of caste, creed, religion ,social and political differences.

Job Title: Core Employability Instructor

Location: Kolkata, India

Job Overview:

As a Core Employability Teacher, you will play a key role in equipping individuals with essential skills and knowledge to enhance their employability. This position focuses on fostering a holistic understanding of professional development, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Achieve set targets of the organization of mobilisation leading to enrolment along with team.

Set and achieve targets for community engagement, participation, and action. Regularly assess

Progress and adjust strategies as needed to meet or exceed objectives. A minimum of 55 people

of the target group has to be mobilised for final enrolment in every quarter

Key Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum completion :

- Teach a comprehensive curriculum that encompasses professional skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management.

- Integrate real-world scenarios and case studies into the curriculum to provide practical insights.

2. Employability Workshops:

- Conduct workshops on resume building, interview techniques, and job search strategies.

- Provide guidance on effective networking, both online and offline.

3. Communication Skills Enhancement:

- Facilitate sessions to improve written and verbal communication skills.

- Emphasize effective presentation techniques and public speaking skills.

4. Collaboration and Teamwork:

- Instil the importance of collaboration and teamwork through group activities and projects.

- Develop strategies to enhance interpersonal skills and conflict resolution within professional settings.

5. Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving:

- Encourage critical thinking by presenting real-world challenges for analysis and solution development.

- Guide students in developing problem-solving skills applicable to various professional scenarios.

6. Digital Literacy:

- Integrate digital literacy skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant tools.

- Emphasize the responsible use of technology in professional settings.

7. Industry Awareness:

- Stay informed about industry trends and requirements.

- Collaborate with industry professionals to bring real-world insights into the classroom.

8. - Maintain all documentations with accuracy and as per need of the programme, write monthly reports

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Masters

-Must know English and Bengali

- Proven experience in teaching employability skills or related subjects.

- Excellent understanding of current employment trends and industry expectations.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- very proficient computer skills

- Effective presentation and facilitation skills.

- Ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

- Strong mentoring and coaching abilities.

- Adaptability to tailor teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
