DISTRICT FACILITATOR

NIRMAN is a professionally managed development organization active in 8 districts of Odisha, focusing on various aspects of Natural Resource Management and Governance. Position: District Facilitator

Stationed at: Bhawanipatna, Kalahandi

Qualification and experience:

Must have Master’s in Social Work/Agriculture/Tribal Development/Rural Development or any other relevant degree with at least two years of field experience in implementing livelihood (agriculture) development projects with special emphasis on ecological farming practices OR Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture & Allied Science with three years of experience in implementing livelihood (agriculture) development projects with special emphasis on ecological farming practices.

Experience of working with and managing community institutions, FPC etc., will be of added advantage.

Personal Characteristics:

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to lead the project activities.

Ability to plan and think strategically.

Excellent coordination and motivation skills.

Good Project management skills along with good documentation skill.

The candidate must have adequate computer knowledge.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to travel.

Maximum age limit: 40 Years

Riding motorcycle and driving license is must. Preference will be given to candidates with two-wheeler.

Job Summary

The District Facilitator will be responsible for developing and delivering the sustainable agricultural practices within the communities we serve. As a District Facilitator for our livelihood project, he/she will play a pivotal role in planning, implementing, and managing various aspects of the project. He/she will be responsible for ensuring the smooth implementation of the project by coordinating activities, communicating with stakeholders, and managing project resources. The position requires extensive field visits (18-20 days/month) to monitor and support the field activities with the involvement of the team members and provide necessary support in execution of the project activities. 

Responsibility:

Helping the team in visualizing the goal, objectives, outcomes, indicators of progress of the project.

Design and executes the project work plan to meet the goals and objective of the project.

Develop strategic framework for implementation of action plans.

To assist in overseeing project implementation.

Collate and compile impact assessment reports, result based management reports, monitoring and evaluation of the project, prepare monthly reports and final completion reports.

Ensure projects are implemented as per the action plan and timely completion of deliverables.

Develop training modules and facilitate training workshops and programs.

Regular physical and financial monitoring of the project and provide necessary guidance/inputs to the team members.

Develop uniform strategies with the support of team members to achieve the targeted indicators of the project by ensuring proper follow up.

Ensure timely completion of deliverables as mentioned and any other work as may be assigned.

Ensure that the values, vision, mission and policies of the organization are upheld.

Reporting to: Program Facilitator State Level or Assigned Person by Authority.

Travel Requirement: 80% of the total time

Remuneration/Salary: 35000/- per month

Note: The salary is negotiable for candidates with exceptional qualifications and experience.
