About the organization

The Urban Catalysts are a mission driven organization working towards climate resilient, gender equitable cities. We advise and provide end-to-end support on street design, parking management, transit-oriented development, multi-modal integration and public space design. We are a growing organization and hiring a Manager: Integrated Urban Transport based in Delhi, India.

Position: Manager: Integrated Urban Transport

Location: Delhi, India

Duration: Minimum 3 years, full-time.

Remuneration: Rs 10.0-15.0 lakhs CTC.

1. Role and responsibilities: 

Manage research and implementation of projects/ programmes on advancing gender equity in public transport in Indian cities and states;

Develop work plans to implement project activities and monitor implementation while ensuring high quality deliverables;

Build, guide and motivate a team with interdisciplinary expertise;

Engage and build rapport with government, donor, CSO partners towards a common vision and goals;

Identify and pursue fundraising opportunities on climate resilient, gender equitable cities, transport and public spaces.

 2. Qualifications:

Advanced degree in urban studies, transportation, urban planning or transport planning.

Overall, 7 years’ experience (after post-graduate studies) in sustainable urban transport and electric mobility;

At least 5 years’ experience (after post-graduate studies) in facilitating mixed methods, action-oriented research on gender equitable public transport and electric mobility systems, partner with civil society organizations and government agencies for implementation;

Guide, motivate and manage teams with diverse expertise and deliver under tight timelines;

Prior experience in fundraising for multi-year programs and managing donor partners;

Advanced knowledge of statistical analytical tools (STATA, R package);

Passionate about climate resilient, gender equitable mobility and cities;

Excellent speaking, reading and writing in English and Hindi.
