Sama is hiring programme associates to work on the issues of Public Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, Reproductive and Biotechnologies, Mental Health, Gender-Based Violence and bioethics.

Responsibilities :

• Assist in capacity building of community-based organisations, frontline health workers, and health professionals in the areas of health systems, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), mental health, gender-based violence-related initiatives

• Support with organising trainings, workshops, short courses and field-based assessments at the community level in the northern states and events at the regional and national level

• Assist in monitoring programme activities with the team.

• Reporting of programmes, documentation and dissemination

• Networking with other health and feminist networks

Profile :

• A background preferably in public health, sociology, social work, gender and development studies

• Conceptual grasp of public health, gender, sexuality, reproductive rights

• Relevant work experience of two or more years

• Fluency in English and Hindi (reading, writing and speaking)

• Excellent writing, documentation and analytical skills

• Willingness to travel to field areas and work with marginalized communities

Salary :

Remuneration will be INR 40,000 to 45,000 per month commensurate with the qualification and experience. This quoted amount is for a full-time, Delhi-based staff member with a minimum period of two years commitment to the organization.
