Job Description

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Post Graduate in Social Work/ Social Science and/or other relevant fields

• MPhil or PhD would be preferred

• Expertise in Gender will be preferred

• Work experience in the development sector/ community based organisation/ designing and implementing quantitative & qualitative research/ studies - will be an added advantage

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Design and conduct qualitative and quantitative field research studies/surveys including baselines, end lines, etc. for impact evaluation.

• Develop research proposals

• Conduct research on new emerging issues

• Conduct situational analysis of project intervention areas

• Track emerging, contemporary research, policies and best practices for cross learning purposes

• Develop policy briefs

• Support process documentation of projects

• Support documentation of case studies and capturing of field learnings

• Support writing and compilation of donor reports, annual reports, special studies, etc

• Support writing Grant Proposals

• Support the Programme Manager in planning and implementing CEQUIN’s programmes across various locations.

• Support the Programme Manager to monitor and evaluate programme progress and outcomes with an evidence based approach.

• Represent CEQUIN at different forums to amplify advocacy for gender equity and build networks with other stakeholders

COMPETENCIES AND VALUES:

• Strong understanding of Qualitative Research Methodology

• Ability to interpret quantitative data

• Strong understanding of gender concepts

• Familiarity with the development sector

• Fluency in English and Hindi (verbal and written)

• Excellent writing skill in English for documentation, report writing etc.

• Competency in usage of computers, office software packages, social media, data management

• Working knowledge of any statistical software

REMUNERATION:

Salary commensurate with experience, qualifications and previous salary history.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS:

Contractual - Full time

SUPERVISOR:

You will report directly to the Programme Manager and work as a part of the Programmes Team.

The thematic areas of intervention are, addressing violence against women and girls, leadership building, health & wellbeing, economic empowerment and education. To accomplish its objectives, CEQUIN works with not only adolescent girls and women, but also with other critical stakeholders such as men and boys, local community members and institutions such as schools, colleges, civil society organisations, local representatives, funders, think tanks, government and the private sector.
