About Program:

CEQUE is implementing the Teacher Innovative Program (TIP) in Indore, Madhya Pradesh with Government primary schools. The program works closely with the teachers to help them learn to create an engaging and, learning classroom environment for grades 1-5 children and to improve their Reading-Writing & Math skills.

The Position

We are looking for a dynamic candidate who will be responsible to provide overall management oversight of the implementation of the organization’s flagship Teacher Innovator Program in the Indore district of Madhya Pradesh.

Key Responsibilities

District Manager will assist the State Lead in implementing the TIP program in the assigned district.

Prepare and review district implementation plans and ensure that the activities agreed in the plan are implemented timely and effectively.

Engage and build effective relationships with Government officers like the District Education Officer, Block level officers, Principals, and DIET functionaries at the District Level.

Draw up school visit plans for the team and provide supportive supervision to the team in the field.

Monitor the progress of the program and ensure timely collection of data and submission of data and reports.

Identify and document best practices, learnings, and challenges gathered from the field.

Plan, organize, and facilitate training workshops for capacity building of Govt. Primary teachers at Block and District levels.

Manage a team of coaches and provide time-to-time guidance and support on the field.

In addition, he/she will be expected to keep regular contact with the CEQUE team in Mumbai. He/she will travel to Mumbai and other locations from time to time to understand the program and attend internal training and review meetings.

Qualifications and Attributes

Graduate degree in education (D.Ed./B.Ed)/ Social Sciences

Minimum 5 to 6 years’ experience working with the government in Education or development sector.

Proven experience in managing projects.

Strong written and oral communication skills in Hindi and English

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Ability to lead a team, and plan and execute tasks in a timely manner.

Good interpersonal skills and a team player

Organized, with good planning and time management skills.

Willingness to travel in urban and rural areas of Madhya Pradesh.

Remuneration

Salary range: INR 31,000 to 45,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Travel expenses will be given separately.
