SUMMARY
Under the TB Elimination Accelerator Initiative, Wadhwani AI is supporting establishing an integrated service delivery model with TB Active Case Finding and TB vulnerability reduction strategies among key populations for TB-free Mizoram, leveraging effective and efficient technological innovations. This initiative will be supported by various development and technical partners, including WHO/India, USAID, STOP-TB partnership, JHPIEGO, Piramal Swasthya, and others.
The State Coordinator will support and coordinate the deployment of AI solutions to aid in screening and treatment adherence of TB at the community and facility levels.
Location: Aizawl, Mizoram (Frequent travel within Districts of Mizoram and occasional travel to Delhi).
Wadhwani AI is a nonprofit institute building and deploying applied AI solutions to solve critical issues in public health, agriculture, education, and urban development in underserved communities in the global south. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in and contribute to project planning, training, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
Implement project activities to ensure the delivery of objectives in a timely and quality fashion.
Liaise with key stakeholders, including project staff, external partners, and other relevant government health functionaries at field, district, and state levels.
Conduct field visits to HWCs to provide hand-holding support for implementing the activities.
Function as Point of Contact (POC) between State TB cell, Piramal Swasthya, Jhpeigo, and Wadhwani AI teams to operationalize the programmatic activities under the “TB elimination accelerator initiative” project.
Coordinate with and provide support to internal team of AI researchers, data scientists, engineers, etc for acquiring data as needed, liaising with government stakeholders, and conducting field research and field experimentations.
Work closely with Wadhwani AI teams to communicate and address operational and technology-related challenges, if any.
Assist supervisor in identifying critical issues, mitigation strategies, and potential impact on various responses.
Participate in periodic review meetings to sensitize and update the State/District stakeholders and partners on the progress of the activities.
Monitor the dashboards to provide feedback and take corrective actions to improve the performance.
Analyse and review the data periodically and prepare monthly progress reports to be shared with Wadhwani AI teams.
Work with stakeholders involved in the project to document activities and success stories and other materials to share achievements.
Perform duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS
Master’s degree in Social work, public health, medicine, or any other relevant discipline.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a relevant role working under national health programs for TB/HIV.
Must have leadership, supervising, and coordination skills.
Must have good data analysis and reporting skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
Competency, experience and liaison for health programs other than NTEP will be an important asset.
Ability to travel extensively
Quick learner, adaptable, and able to manage various stakeholders independently
Understanding of local regions of the state
Sound knowledge of English as well as local language.
