About the foundation: The Kathiwada Foundation, led by the visionary Kathiwada family, is at the forefront of social development in the region. The foundation's diverse focus areas include sports, cultural preservation, climate, environment, and the latest addition, education, reflecting our commitment to holistic community development.

About the School: The focus of the foundation on the education vertical has culminated in the establishment of Kamal Vidya Niketan. This English medium school is meant to be a one-of-a-kind school of excellence in India’s most illiterate district Alirajpur in Madhya Pradesh and is meant to serve children who come from the marginalized communities in the region. The first phase of the school will start with 120 students starting from playgroup to UKG in July 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching Role (60%):

• Bring joy and love for learning alive in classrooms.

• Design innovative and challenging annual, unit, weekly plans, and lesson plans aligned with the school's vision.

• Teach subjects of expertise to around 25 students per class, aiming for stellar outcomes.

• Maintain daily record keeping of student artefacts using worksheets and diverse learning activities.

• Conduct regular assessments, analyzing data to improve classroom outcomes.

• Lead the creation of a positive and strong school culture with a focus on learning and joy.

• Collaborate with parents through regular meetings to ensure their active involvement.

Project Leadership (30%):

• Work with the School Principal and Vice Principal to lead essential projects for student learning (e.g., Annual Day, Sports Day, Hobby Clubs).

• Utilize project opportunities to strengthen leadership skills and mentor newer teachers.

School Culture Contribution (10%):

• Contribute to creating a strong staff culture translating into a high-functioning team.

• Establish inclusive spaces of interest for students and staff to build a close-knit community.

• Co-design and own segments of staff training and upskilling initiatives for continuous improvement.

Skills Required:

• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Possession of a Bachelor's Degree with a track record of robust academic and holistic performance.

• Bachelor's in Education (B.Ed.) degree or a Diploma in Education, accompanied by a history of strong academic and holistic achievements.

• Preferably, 2 years of experience specifically in teaching primary school students.

• Demonstrated outcome orientation with a commitment to achieving positive results.

• Proficient in goal setting, planning, execution, and reflection processes.

• Strong proficiency in G Suite tools, including Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Slides.

• Proficient command of the English and Hindi language

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Cultural sensitivity and a passion for working in a rural community.

• Ability to adapt to limited resources and employ innovative teaching methods.

Additional Information:

• This school is set up in Kathiwada, which is remotely located and rural. The nearby airports are Vadodara and Indore.

• The foundation will provide you with comfortable accommodation on the school campus itself.

• This role requires you to commit to a minimum of two years.
