Reach India started its journey as a training and capacity building organization. Over the years we have developed our core expertise in training and capacity building processes and along with that have developed a comprehensive package of trainings, implementation and technical support. Reach’s core expertise resides in population health subjects including reproductive sexual health, rights, maternal and child health, nutrition, gender education, sanitation and WASH. This core is linked to other thematic areas such as livelihoods, financial education and skill building/vocational skills, as we foresee, to impart knowledge, life skills and also facilitate employment and market linkages for the young women, adolescent girls and youth.

Job Title: Lead Mobilizer

Positions: 1 (One)

Location – Kolkata

Qualification: The candidate should be post graduate in Social Studies/ Personal management and industrial relation etc. and have minimum 2-3 years of experience in Skilling project / social development projects. He or she should have good command over speaking in Bengali and Hindi. He or she should have good writing skill in English, proficiency in computer with good working knowledge of MS office (including Word, Excel, Power-point) report writing, data entry, compilation. He or she should demonstrate and good communication skills with different stakeholders and also conduct well as a team player. The candidate must have experience in the community mobilization and prior experience of working with community.

Job Description:

• To report to the Project Coordinator of the vocational Training Centre, Reach India Trust, India.

• To maintain cordial relationship with all the stakeholders following donor representatives, slum localities, selected participants.

• To conduct monthly review of each month with the Chief of operations and programmes. And the Project Coordinator, vocational Training Centre, Kolkata.

• To come up with monthly plan of Actions at the end of each month and execute the same in the field accordingly in the following month. Such plan of Actions will be recommended by the Project Coordinator,

• Vocational Training Centre for submission and approval of the Chief of Operations and programmes, Reach India Trust. Any change in the Action plan will require prior approval.

• The Centre manager will monitor your activities on weekly basis and such it will be reviewed on monthly basis by the Chief of Operations and Programmes, RIT.

• To make documentations including candidates’ profile and periodic report writing as per specified format and social mobilization registers etc. and the reports must be qualitative along with photographs and case studies thereof.

• To cooperate with the RIT staff during periodical review and audit by the representatives of the donor or any other officials, assigned by the Chief of operations and programmes Reach India Trust from time to time.

• Employee may be assigned other task and activities as per the mission of Reach India Trust as and when required.

Specific deliverables:

• To identify the new location of slums in and around Kolkata where the middle level educated youth including women of the poor families are available and they have the need to gain employment for improvement of their economic status.

• To prepare a strategic plan in coordination with the Centre Manager to make need assessment of the youth of the poor slum localities.

• To make sure of the door-to-door house visit of the poor families, location wise in Kolkata

• To call them in a focus group discussion (FGD) and give project orientation for them on the facilitation and opportunities that they may explore a gainful employment.

• To make sure that the parents are invited in the same FGD for necessary counsel prior to the selection of potential candidate.

• To ensure the target candidates and enroll their names with full address including pin code and mobile no along with E-MAIL-ID, if available, in a separate sheet of paper in the meeting.

• To meet the potential employers to ascertain that the trained candidates are placed in suitable employment.

• To make sure for preparation of profile of each selected candidate in format and keep them as office record in the VTC.

Report writing and Documentation:

• Documentation on the social mobilization of the center as Reach India initiatives

• Develop case studies and preparing communications materials.

• Coordinate for project documentation.

• Coordinate, implement and documentation of the social mobilization processes with the support of other staffs, if any.

CTC: Up to INR 2.4 Lakh per Annum. (Depending on Candidate’s experience)
