SHIVI Development Society (SDS) is a non-profit civil society organisation, which undertakes and facilitates development processes that positively impact the lives of poor and most marginalized sections of the society. SDS works on the issues of human rights and good governance, public affairs, child rights, and promotes people’s participation with gender as a cross cutting theme. SDS undertakes community outreach programmes including participatory research, and grass root action. Working at various levels, SDS conducts research studies that enable it to undertake policy advocacy initiatives.

SDS is looking for a women professional working in the development sector with a special interest in women human rights. The person should have a Post graduate degree in Social work/Sociology/Law with minimum 3-4 years of work experience. The person must have good command over spoken and written English and Hindi languages. A good knowledge of UN human rights system would an advantage

Major responsibilities:

• Mobilizing and Strengthening Network of Women Human Rights organization in different states.

• Policy analysis and communication

• Facilitation of capacity building sessions

• Research and documentation

• Lobby and policy advocacy with govt. departments and other stake holders Effective Team Work .

Remuneration: Negotiable depending on the experience, comparable in NGO sector
