75 farmers’ clubs have been formed comprising 75 villagers with the support of NABARD in Azamgarh district for promoting sustainable agricultural practices. About 500 farmers have been sensitized on sustainable agricultural practices through farmers’ training programmes.
To tackle the problem of low productivity and soil degradation, we have introduced the farmers to various sustainable farming practices out of which organic farming is one.
Improvement in agricultural production systems would allow more productive and resilient livelihoods and ecosystems, contributing to a more sustainable food system and increased food security, providing access to adequate food and nutrition and thus contributing to alleviation of hunger and poverty.
We aim to establish soil, water quality and input testing center for the benefit of farmers.
We also aim to establish rural godowns to provide proper storage to agricultural produce and minimize wastage.
