Computer and Technical Education for Girls from Economically Weaker Families

Posted On: 2018-04-11 07:05:21 , By Kk Sinha

Factors such as illiteracy, poor socio-economic background and family disharmony lead to increased vulnerability of children, particularly girl children hailing from underprivileged tribal families. Trafficking of tribal girls to other parts of the country is a prevalent problem in underdeveloped districts. SRDCT is committed to promote the development of girl children hailing from the most vulnerable communities. We sensitize the communities on the various schemes for girl child and assist them to avail the benefits of the schemes. We advocate against child marriage and generate awareness on ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ to ensure that parents encourage their girls to get educated and create an independent identity for themselves in the society. Since the last five years, the organization has been sponsoring free of cost computer and technical education for two girls annually. So far, the organization has provided free of cost computer and technical education to 10 girls.
