MANOJ MORE: We want to begin by asking you about Sanjay Dutt. Is he getting preferential treatment?
Let me categorically say no to it. Questions are being asked about special remission being granted to him. But I want to state here that he has been granted the remission that any other prisoner is entitled to. Not a single day extra has been granted as remission.

SUSHANT KULKARNI: The doubts are more about difference in treatment given to Dutt as compared to other prisoners. When others apply for furloughs, paroles and remissions, there are delays and red tape. Not in his case.
That delay has been there in his case also. When he was out on furlough, he had applied for extension. All prisoners can presume that furlough has been extended if no communication is received from the jail authorities. He too did that but his furlough was rejected and the communication was delayed due to delay in police report. But later, he made a representation to the government that it was not his fault.ANURADHA MASCARENHAS: What is the daily routine of a prisoner in jail?
At 6 am, their day starts. Then they go for exercise, yoga or walks. Then they are served tea around 7 am and as they get ready and after other chores, breakfast is served. The menus are prescribed by the government and keep on changing. Then they go for work around 10.30 am. Lunch is served around 11.30 am. Then those who have been allotted work, go for it. Others are locked up again till 3 pm. Then there are physical activities. Between 4.30 and 5.30 pm, they are served food and then they go for back to their barracks. Those working in workshops, have a little different schedule. - See more at: http://indianexpress.com/article/cities/pune/fear-of-punishment-always-better-than-punishment/#sthash.jLbYz6Nc.dpuf
