VADODARA: The Gujarat Refinery provided 10 pedestal sewing machines along with benches to Bharat Seva Shram Sangh, a Vadodara-based NGO that provides vocational training to the underprivileged women and children. The sewing machines were handed over by S K Dhar Gupta, executive director who was joined by P T Solanki, DGM (HR) and other officials.A computer training hall was also set up by the Gujarat Refinery at the Bharat Seva Shram Sangh. About 10 computers along with the furniture were given to the NGO so that under privileged children can use them for vocational training.While handing over the facilities of sewing machine and computer training hall, Gupta said, "As a responsible corporate citizen, Gujarat Refinery aims to create value for our stakeholders to achieve their aspirations. With provision of computers and sewing machines, we hope that this shall be a small yet significant step to empower the women and the students in the society, and to do something worthwhile."
