Marking a major win for citizen?s groups in the battle for open spaces in Mumbai, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis Friday announced in the Maharashtra legislative assembly that his government will adopt a new law to make the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) responsible for maintenance of all public open spaces in the city.
