Aide et Action, a non-government organization re-enrolled 338 (183 boys and 155 girls) school dropout migrant children into the neighbouring schools of the worksite.According to an official release, the organization runs 19 child care and learning centres (CCLC) in the brick kiln sites of Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Khurda conducted an exercise since last three months to identify the school dropout kids in the age group of 0 to 14 years.
It also prepared individual child profile of the migrant children to share with the concerned school authorities. Before enrolling the students, it assessed competency level of students by conducting tests on arithmetic, language, reading and writing skills.
