Inspired by Malala, NGO visits villages for girl education awareness

Demanding inclusion of secondary and senior secondary education in the Right to Education ( RTE ) Act, 2009, especially for girls belonging to marginalized communities, a city-based NGO , in partnership with National Coalition of Education (NCE) and The Malala Fund, have initiated a campaign to create awareness among minority groups on the need to educate the girl child. The campaigns are being carried out in two districts each of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bihar.
Inspired by 18-year-old Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai's life and her determined efforts towards education for women,NGO En Block, along with NCE, selected these three states on the basis of low female literacy rates.
