Pollutants killing Powai lake?s biodiversity, says NGO

NGO Plant and Animals Welfare Society (PAWS-Mumbai) complained to the civic body about unauthorized sewerage and effluents being released into Powai lake.
The activists said pollutants are affecting the lake's biodiversity.
"We have submitted a letter to the S ward office. We also plan to meet senior officials to stop this pollution in Powai lake. We have also submitted fresh photos as to how various culverts are unlocked to release sewerage into the water body," said Sunish K Subramnian of PAWS-Mumbai.
