NGO seeks action against bus driver

The members of Helping Hands for Animals (HHA) - a city based NGO on Friday approached the regional transport officer (RTO), Indore demanding legal action against the driver and conductor of a private bus operator. According to HHA Vice President Vaishali Shah, around 18 puppies were being transported in a bus of Hans Travels. The puppies of breeds like Rottweiler, Arabian Husky etc. were kept in small baskets at the luggage section.
"We were informed by a passenger travelling in the bus," she said adding that the puppies were continuously screaming and when raised a question about unauthorized shipment of puppies, the person who was transferring those puppies unloaded them in Ujjain and left the bus.
