Akshaya Patra to open fifth centre in Rajasthan

The Akshaya Patra Foundation signed an agreement with the Government of Rajasthan to implement Mid-Day Meal Scheme in Ajmer?fifth centre in the state for the Foundation. In 2004, Akshaya Patra began serving mid-day meals in Jaipur and the programme is currently operational in four cities in Rajasthan serving nutritious meals to over 135,000 beneficiaries.
An MOU was signed in the presence of Vasudev Devnani, Education Minister of Rajasthan and Anita Badhel, Women and Child Development Minister. Other eminent personalities who were present during this formal gathering were MLA Pushkar, Mayor of Ajmer, Collector, Superintendent of Police, and District Education Officers.
