Mumbai: D B Corp Limited (DBCL) India’s largest print media company and home to flagship newspapers DainikBhaskar, DivyaBhaskar and Divya Marathi today announced that the Group has launched a new CSR initiative ‘Teentalkindia.com’- an emotional well-being platform for teenagers in India. With about 17 crore of the Indian population between the age group of 13 to 19 years and 65% of the population under 35, India is one of the youngest nations in the world.

Commenting on the same, Head of this initiative said “Today’s teenagers deal with a great deal of pressure From peers, high parental expectations, societal mores as well as academic pressures which, in some cases lead to severe depression amongst teenagers. This is compounded by the fact that there are limited support services available for emotional well-being. It continues to be a huge growing concern, more often either not discussed, ignored or un-recognised in most parts of our country.

ZiddKaro, DuniyaBadlo is the Group’s clarion call and hence Teentalk India has been conceived to encourage the society to break out and take a determined step to urgently support youth in this vulnerable stage in their lives. It is an an online platform for teenagers and conceived to create a welcoming, secure space addressed by experts who have been dealing extensively with teen related issues. Teentalk India offers help for teenagers battling various personal issues such as bullying, addiction, peer pressure, depression, pressure related to academics and more. It also allows them a chance to express themselves without being judged. Since the past 6 months, we have conducted focus groups and seminars across different cities in India and are received an overwhelming response.”

Teentalk’s in-house team includes full-time Personal Counsellors and Experts on teen issues. We have also partnered with excellent support services like Fortis Helpline, Vandrewala Foundation and other esteemed organizations.
