MUMBAI: In a fresh petition, NGO Vanashakti has sought orders from Bombay high court to ensure transfer of all mangrove lands in possession of various departments of the state, to the state forest department. More than 1,500 hectares of such mangrove lands are to be transferred, the petition says.
