MAMTA Health Institute for Mother and Child (MAMTA-HIMC) is a leading national-level NGO which works across 20 states in India. It is a not-for-profit institution registered under society Registration Act 1860.

MAMTA’s journey began in the urban slums of New Delhi in 1990 in the field of mother and child health and nutrition. In the last 30 years, MAMTA has evolved in to a leading, multi-pronged, national level in situation that is focused on empowering people and communities; building capacities; forging partnerships and alliances; building evidences on implementation as a science to advance policy and programme investments for health and nutrition of the marginalized.

MAMTA works through the mechanism of direct intervention, community mobilization, health system strengthening, networking and policy advocacy in close partnership with government and public health systems, civil societies, academic institutions, corporate sector and the community at large. MAMTA extends its work in four broad thematic areas:

• Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition (MCHN)

• Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (YSRHR)

• Communicable Diseases (CDs) such as HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis ‘B’ & ‘C’

• Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)

We, along with 136 NGO partners, are driving the health and empowerment agenda in India and across borders. In addition to India, last decade has observed spread of our work as a technical support agency to countries of South and South East Asian region as well. MAMTA has its head office in New Delhi and State/regional offices in Bengaluru, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna and Shimla.

Job description: The Regional Manager– MEL is a mid level position in the organization. S/he would be responsible for supporting the multiple project team in MEL, -designing and maintaining technology to enable MIS, developing evidence for different projects of organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & develop MEL framework in consultation with the Programme team for all levels.

• Ensure that long-term target are realistic, measurable, verifiable, and are linked back to programme development.

• Designing and roll out of the national, state and district dashboards with the relevant indicators

• Driving learning agenda and culture, and supporting colleagues to document and implement best practices across implementation(s).

• Enabling quality data collection, verification and analysis at a project, programme and organizational level

• Design evaluations, - methodologies and tools, conducting quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and producing evaluation reports to support achieving programme goals.

• Implement adaptive management mechanisms to ensure feedback to the ongoing improvement of our programmes.

• Support design of new implementation MEL design and matching funding requirements for strategy, log frames, activity plans, indicators, and targets.

• Support management of external partners \

• Maintain the technological environment of knowledge sharing, increase automation, and efficiency.

• Facilitate developing an internal MIS to capture activities planned at different levels.

• Supporting State Lead in the discussions with the various levels of leaderships and to orient the internal and external project leads.

• Review progresses of the implementation under supervision of concerned supervisors.

• Support in documentation implementation result, identify successful processes and capture and maintain success stories to develop fact sheet for strategic sharing and dissemination.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• MBA/MPS/MCA/B. Tech (Computer Science) with 7-10 years MEL Lead experience Public Health domain matching with MAMTA HIMC focus areas.

• Short-term/long-term data management and analysis trainings for implementation colleagues.

• Demonstrated expertise to conduct various project assessments and evaluations.

• Ability to work independently and offline.
