Job Description

PURPOSE: The Program Associate implements key phases of a successful mentoring program. They work with corporates and educational institutions to forge partnerships that bring interested mentors and mentees into the program. They participate in reviewing and vetting mentors and mentees before they are matched. They orient mentoring pairs and support their mentoring journey to successful completion

EXPERIENCE: 1 - 4 years of relevant experience (in education, social work, community development, youth development or related fields)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Forge and maintain partnerships with corporate or other professional organizations. Drive these partnerships to provide a pipeline of mentors and mentees per the need of the program.

Work with partners in creating and successfully executing outreach campaigns through in-person orientations, webinars, emailer campaigns.

Manage weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting for designated partners.

Help partners meet program excellence goals, which are standards set for the number of successful applications per partner.

Support and select mentor and mentee applicants through to successful mentorship

Follow-up with designated mentor and/or mentee applicants during their pre-eligibility processes.

Interview mentors & mentees and clarify program questions as per the program goals.

Support mentorship pairs & groups    

Support a designated number of mentorship pairs and groups in successfully completing their mentorship.

Achieve program excellence goals of maintaining early terminations of mentorships to under 20% and achieving the desired net promoter score from pairs managed.

Update qualitative and quantitative records for pairs, record stories of impact.

Effective and clear oral and written communication. Ability to use everyday communication to achieve goals with a range of stakeholders.

Ability to understand the needs, expectations and respect the opinions of the key stakeholders to build mutually rewarding relationships.

Data Visualization & Analysis

Meticulous collection and verification of relevant program data.

Effective data analysis skills for weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting. Ability to identify problems and suggest solutions using data.

Problem Solving

Ability to do root cause analysis of the problem and present the solutions covering all the factors analyzed.

Ability to navigate effectively through change; collectively taking others through changes by seeking support and having a positive outlook.

Ownership & Learning Attitude

Ability to set high goals and motivate self and others to achieve those.

High sense of responsibility demonstrated through learning from mistakes, seeking active feedback, willingness to take extra mile efforts to achieve milestones.

Spoken and written fluency in Kannada, Marathi, Hindi or Telugu preferred.
