Position: Marketing & Value Chain Expert

Educational Qualification:

The candidate should be a Post graduate in Agri-business management / Agricultural Economics / Rural Management / Rural Marketing or MBA

Work experience:

The candidate should have minimum 3 years of active engagement and experience of working with local rural communities on diversifying livelihoods and developing solutions through development & management on microenterprise development projects, agribusiness promotion, Value Chain Development. He/she should have experience in enterprise promotion, business advisory services, forward and backward linkages.

Preferred Skill set:

1.He/she should have experience in developing and implementing livelihood, value chains and enterprise strategies

2.He/she should have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly (verbal and written).

3.He/she should have knowledge and skill with MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.

4. He/she should have skills on documentation and reporting in English and Oriya

Job responsibilities:

1.Support market & value chains mapping and analysis and share recommendations.

2.Analyse the enterprises and provide recommendations to increase competitiveness in the market and market linkages at the local level. Identify key value chain opportunities and develop strategies for marketing of production in relevant value chains.

3.Develop or adapt training packages including modules on value chains, marketing & market linkages.

4.Provide technical support for market mapping and analysis of the key input and marketing of the products/produce to FPOs.

5.Develop business plans for FPOs and provide handholding to FPOs.

6.Facilitate access to markets by establishing market linkages between the community/FPOs and private/public partners for the products/produce.

Salary: Rs 35000 to 40000 + EPF
