Job Description

The Hunger Project (THP) India, is looking for a Programme Associate to be placed in its Bhopal office, Madhya Pradesh. The Programme Associate is expected to support the key strategies of the organisation and work with the THP state team in Madhya Pradesh and national team in Delhi for overall implementation, management and supervision of the programme, field staff management, financial management, documentation, tracking and reporting of THP’s work.  

Demonstrated commitment to gender and social issues and women’s human rights and a functional knowledge and understanding of local governance/ rural development in the state is important. The job involves extensive travel within the state. The incumbent will collaborate and support the field team in intervention areas under the guidance of State coordinator of Madhya Pradesh for project planning and implementation. 

The candidate should hold a Masters' degree in social sciences/ liberal Arts and have at least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar capacity in an NGO. The candidate should be currently a domicile of Madhya Pradesh. Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and work under pressure on competing responsibilities with resilience is an advantage. Excellent command over English and Hindi- written and spoken is mandatory.
