JOB DESCRIPTION: Sr. FACILITATOR (MEAL, RESEARCH & KNOWLEDGE)

Mobile Creches, (MC) a pioneer NGO, has been operational since 1969, reaching early childhood care and development services to more than 20,000 marginalised young children every year, through workplace and urban community-based crèches and day care centres, in different cities of India. MC’s multi-pronged approach - quality services, capacity building, and ECD partnerships facilitates the access of young children and their working mothers to overlapping rights of good health, adequate nutrition, early learning, and responsive caregiving in a safe and caring environment.

In its strategic period commencing from April 2022, MC aims to accelerate access to quality ECD for half a million children by supporting sustainable childcare ecosystems, in partnership with government, civil society organisations, businesses, communities, parents and other key stakeholders, across India. It aims to grow from 120 employees to around 200, from annual expenditure of Rs 12 crores to Rs 50 crores in the next 5 years.

As an organization, MC adheres to a strict safeguarding policy for children and vulnerable adults. All staff, volunteers, interns, vendors, consultants etc. are obliged to be aware of the conditions of this policy, be a signatory to this, and follow the norms.

Position Details:

Department: MEAL, Research, and Knowledge

Designation: Sr. Facilitator

Location: New Delhi

Educational Qualification: A graduate in a relevant field such as statistics, economics, social sciences, or a related field is required. A master’s degree in a relevant field is also highly desirable.

Work Experience: Atleast 2 years of experience of handling datasets, different apps for data collection and analysis and experience in project coordination. Freshers trained in data systems are encouraged to apply.

Job Description: Specific Areas of Responsibilities are not limited to :

• Understanding of design and implementing MEL frameworks that are appropriate for the project’s objectives and context. This involves identifying key indicators, developing data collection tools, and ensuring that data is collected in a timely and accurate manner.

• Responsible for accurate data collection related to childcare programs, organization MIS, and performing various data analysis including trend analysis.

• Inputs data and performs quality control of data input.

• Monitor and report any MEAL-related challenges and gaps identified and suggest possible solutions.

• Ensure data verification for accuracy and completeness. Conduct thorough data cleaning activities to maintain data integrity.

• To carry out regular field monitoring of Data and program interventions

• To assist in planning and implementation of baseline surveys, monitoring and evaluation exercises, and impact assessments when needed.

• Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis using statistical tools and techniques. Generate reports and insights to support program decision-making.

• Program Evaluation: Develop and implement program evaluation frameworks. Monitor and evaluate program outcomes and impact.

• Capacity Building of field team members on Data system, and records, data collection tools, analysis, and reporting best practices.

• Coordination and Collaboration: Collaborate with field staff, supervisors, partner organizations, and stakeholders to streamline data collection processes and address any data-related challenges.

• Manage child outcome app, monitor results/trends, and derive results periodically.

• Travel- Must be willing and able to travel.

Skills Required:

• Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methodologies, data analysis techniques, and project management principles is essential.

• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using MS Office, Cloud-based data collection tools/ Apps (e.g., Kobo, Google Forms), and any other data capturing and analyzing tools. (Strong hands-on MS Excel is essential)

• The ability to pay attention to detail and ensure that data is collected accurately and analyzed correctly is essential.

• The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines is essential.

• The ability to work collaboratively with project staff, partners, and stakeholders is essential.

• Ability to effectively communicate data and insights to diverse audiences through written reports and presentations.

• Positive and continuous improvement & innovation attitude
