Consultancy co-terminus with Project duration, which is until 31st December 2024.

Nature of Job

The Business and Human Rights Facilitator will be responsible for liasioning with owners/employers/agencies in Brick Kiln and Construction sector to ensure compliance of human rights standards at worksites.

Duties and Responsibilities  

Overall coordination with owners/employers at Brick kiln and or Construction Sites.  

Building relationships with the owners/employers construction agencies and motivating them for adoption of human rights practices.

Liaise with relevant construction company, agency and communications focal points to share relevant resources, lessons learnt and best practices.

Organize meetings on Business and Human Rights to exchange best practices, encourage a construction agency and employers to develop Business Charter, and maintain momentum on Business and Human Rights in their companies.

Organize workshops/meetings with all stakeholders.

Keep up-to-date with the work of other stakeholders working in the area of Business and Human Rights.

Ensure meetup with 50 Business Charter adopted and follow fundamental workers’ rights in the construction sector etc.

Need base documentation, reporting and presentations.

Any other task as assigned by line manager whenever needed

Skills and competencies

Graduate/Postgraduate in Social Sciences or equivalent.

Two-three years’ experience of working with informal workers.

Good interpersonal and communicational skills.

Excellent organizing and coordination skills.

High degree of efficiency and willingness to work under pressure.

Be a good team player, gender sensitive, having conviction and skills for the empowerment of the poor and disadvantaged groups

Reporting to

Associate Director, ActionAid Association

Travel

As per role requirements.

Consultancy Fee

Approx – Rs. 38,500/- per month including TDS (Based on work experience)
