Position:                                    Hospital Quality Assessors

Location:                                   Assam

Relevant Sectors:               Hospital Quality Assessment, Health Systems Improvement, Better Health Services for Public, Pubic Health & Nutrition 

AMS (www.amsindia.org) is a research-based consulting organization, working with various Govt. Departments and international agencies (World Bank, Unicef, UNDP, WFP etc.). Improving access to quality health services is one of the major areas of our work.

With the objective of improving quality of secondary healthcare services, the Govt. of Assam has launched a World Bank-supported project titled “Assam State Secondary Healthcare Initiative for Service Delivery Transformation (ASSIST)”. AMS has been commissioned as an Independent Verification agency for regular monitoring of this project. This is a 5-year assignment that includes quarterly assessment of 25 Secondary Healthcare facilities including 18 District Hospitals and 7 Medical Colleges. Each quarterly assessment needs to be completed within the first fortnight of the respective quarter. Considering the timeline & large requirement of qualified NQAS Assessors, we are making a panel of:

Job Responsibilities

To conduct quarterly assessment of quality improvement in Government hospitals

The regular assessment will be held against NQAS norms and scoring systems

To assess the reasons for poor performance and offer actionable recommendations for improvement.

The engagement for these assessments would be for around 15 days per quarter for 5 years. 

Eligibility 

A valid NQAS certificate is mandatory

Preference will be given to candidates having prior experience in conducting NQAS assessments

Willing to travel extensively across Assam 

Remuneration:

Honorarium: Rs. 3,000/-  per working day

Travel Allowances:  Reimbursement as per actual expenses on inter-district travel (Rail/Bus)

Accommodation: Reimbursement as per actual expenses up to a maximum of Rs. 2,000/- per working day.

Fooding : Rs. 1,000/- per working day (No bills are required to be submitted) 

The duration of the empanelment will be for 5 Years. The time duration may be further increased or decreased, depending upon the performance of the candidate and organization’s requirement.
