FINANCE OFFICER
Educational qualifications and experience: The requisite qualification for this position is a master's degree in commerce, business administration, finance, or management from a recognized university or membership of a national professional body such as the ICAI/ICWA/ICFA/ICSI. Candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in a progressively higher level of responsibility in financial management, donor relations, HR and estate management and other administrative tasks in a public funded organization. Besides day-to-day management of operations, a demonstrated ability in managing finances and investments, preparation of budget estimates and agenda papers for the meetings of the Board and its sub-committees and liaison with statutory auditors and CAG are critical. The candidate should be well-versed with government accounting procedures including the general financial rules (GFR), filling of returns under the Income Tax Act, GST, NPS, Section 35(1)(iii), FCRA, among other regulatory matters. Proficiency in automation tools including Tally accounting software, MS Office, etc. would be important.
Selection process: The position is currently at the Pay Level 11 of the 7th CPC. The Institute reserves the right to place candidates in another suitable scale as per the recommendation of the selection committee. Institute reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason thereof. Those with experience of working in autonomous bodies, a government agency, a society, especially those engaged in research, teaching or consulting will have an advantage.
