Program Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
Program Planning and Development:
• ssist in the development and refinement of program plans, objectives, and activities in collaboration with program managers and stakeholders.
• Conduct research, gather data, and contribute to needs assessments and situational analyses to inform program design and implementation strategies.
• Support the drafting of project proposals, concept notes, and grant applications, including background research, budget development, and narrative writing.
• Project Implementation and Coordination:
• Coordinate program activities, events, and initiatives, including logistics, scheduling, and resource mobilization, to ensure smooth and timely implementation.
• Liaise with project partners, beneficiaries, and community members to facilitate participation, engagement, and ownership of program interventions.
• Monitor project progress against work plans, timelines, and budget allocations, identifying and addressing any issues or challenges as they arise.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
• Assist in the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks, tools, and systems to track program performance and outcomes.
• Collect, compile, and analyse program data and indicators, preparing regular progress reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in program evaluations, assessments, and reviews to assess impact, identify lessons learned, and inform future program planning and decision-making.
Capacity Building and Training:
• Coordinate training workshops, capacity-building sessions, and knowledge-sharing events for program staff, partners, and beneficiaries, as needed.
• Provide administrative support for the development of training materials, manuals, and resources, ensuring accessibility and relevance to diverse audiences.
• Facilitate learning and exchange opportunities within the program team and with external stakeholders to foster continuous improvement and innovation.
Communication and Outreach:
• Support the development and dissemination of program communication materials, including reports, success stories, and promotional materials, to raise awareness and visibility.
• Contribute to social media campaigns, website updates, and other communication channels to share program updates, achievements, and impact with stakeholders and the public.
• Assist in organizing and coordinating advocacy and outreach activities to engage policymakers, influencers, and the broader community in program priorities and objectives.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as international development, social sciences, public administration, or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in program coordination, project management, or related roles, preferably in the non-profit sector or a similar environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications for data management, reporting, and communication.
• Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation principles and practices, including data collection, analysis, and reporting techniques.
• Commitment to the mission and values of the organization, including a dedication to promoting social justice, equity, and human rights.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, building positive relationships with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
• Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing priorities and emerging needs, adjusting plans and strategies as required.
Additional Requirements:
• Willingness to travel domestically or internationally, as needed, to support program activities, attend meetings, or participate in field visits.
• Strong intercultural competence and sensitivity to work effectively with individuals and communities from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.
