PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of the project is to create a health system which is climate resilience and also have health services responding to climate shocks and project targeted to impact health system of Bihar withstand the climate change impacts sudden health shocks, poor health knowledge, limited infrastructures, etc in terms of community vulnerability proposed to build Climate Resilient Health System (CRHS) in the districts of Madhubani, Darbhanga, Supaul, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Patna, Nalanda & Bhojpur Districts, Bihar.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of Project Director/Chief Functionary- GPSVS, and in close
collaboration with the support agency, Human Resources like: Project Manager & CRHS expert will be team head based in Madhubani/Patna
and would be responsible for the implementation & ensuring delivery of
outcome as agreed in the Project agreement of GPSVS & KZE specially in
context of action aligns with the target to impact health system of Bihar withstand the climate change impacts sudden health shocks, poor health knowledge, limited infrastructures, etc in terms of community vulnerability proposed to build Climate Resilient Health System (CRHS) in the districts of Madhubani, Darbhanga, Supaul, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Patna, Nalanda & Bhojpur Districts, Bihar.
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with non-governmental organizations.
- Experience in the Public Health, Climate Change & health sector would be preferred.

Job Description: PROJECT MANAGER
THEMATIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plan activities & engagements with different stakeholders for both qualitative and quantitative output.
• Provide Input in CRHS strategy and applying it for project’s different audiences/groups.
• Responsible for various project activity with timelines for monitoring and reviewing progress and milestones.
• Be Responsible for comprehensive documentation, monitoring & evaluation, and learning purposes and ensure adherence to all agreed protocols in project implementation including the creation of evidence to illustrate the
results of the project activities carried out (including taking photos and videos).
• Coordination/Lobbying/Advocate with different departments, educational institutions, cultural centers, Health institutions, other organizations in community for better integration of creative approaches and methods.
• Facilitate/Support in orientation of the target groups to ensure the effectiveness of the project activities in the community.
• Support in developing impact assessment tools of the project activities in collaboration with stakeholders and support agency.
OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead/work for the project at district level and Coordinate activities so that there is coherence and complementarity between them to have a positive impact on the specific target groups and the community.
2. Facilitate and provide required support in planning of project activities linked to the interventions of the other components of the project.
3. Maintain a clear line of communication between the different groups/community of the project
4. Manage the resources allocated to the project activities efficiently
5. Consolidate and compile the reports of project participant’s groups/communities and support the incorporation of information into the different reports (annual, biannual and final).
6. Ensure timely utilization of project Budget and keep track of the variance and maintain and generate all budgetary reports as and when required.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• To be based/stationed in Madhubani/Patna strong local ties would be preferred.
• Fluent in Hindi and English.
• Post graduate Degree in one of the following social sciences: Public Health, Climate Change Adaptation/Resilience, DRR, sociology/social work, community development, Development studies,
• 3-4 years’ experience in a non-governmental, non-profit and/or other local organization is preferable and Fresher’s from reputed institution’s are also welcome to apply
• Excellent organizational, logistical and communication skills;
• Good knowledge of the local cultural context and history
• Gender sensitive and cohesive approaches of work
• ZERO TOLERANCE IN PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and
Abuse)
• Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint).
Remuneration: Rs 40000-48000/month depending on the competencies of the candidate Including HRA/PF etc.
