Chaithanya Mahila Mandali (CMM) is a registered nonprofit, nonreligious and nonpolitical organization. The strategy of CMM is to work with a network of CBOs, NGOs, the Government and other like-minded agencies as well as with individuals (from India and abroad). CMM wants to empower the women and children who are in crisis until they reach a better life.
CMM's work is affecting more than 2000 plus vulnerable /disadvantaged children and youth as well as 5000 women in forced prostitution every year. The organisation encourages and empowers the vulnerable Children,Youth and women towards their betterment by supporting/facilitating them develop interest in Education, acquire IT Skills, Vocational training, awareness building on reproductive health and rights, healthy diet/nutrition?s, motivating them to fight against human trafficking and Sexual abuse,de-addiction and also HIV/AIDS issues .CMM has been very successful working with women in forced prostitution towards rehabilitation and enabling them to become part of the organisation's team to fight forced sex work, human trafficking and HIV/AIDS. CMM?s Model home, takes care of the parent-less and children of women forced into sex work with the aim is to intervene early so as to prevent them from possible entry into forced prostitution due to their helpless sex work environment. CMM is a role model for India. The organisation was founded by a former sex trafficked Victim. It proves that those with a difficult background can have a great impact on the society.
